Independent app studio · iOS · Android

We build iOS & Android apps worth keeping. Then we stay to keep them moving forward.

ByteHaven Studios is an independent app studio. We design, build, and ship our own native iOS and Android apps — and the backends behind them — then stay on to maintain and grow each one. Private by default: no ads, no tracking, no dark patterns. Finished, not just shipped.

Capabilities

What we do

[ 01 / BUILD ]
01

iOS apps

Native iPhone and iPad apps built in Swift and SwiftUI. From a first App Store release to a mature product with offline sync, in-app purchases, and live activities.

Stack · Swift · SwiftUI · Core Data Ships to · App Store · TestFlight
02

Android apps

Native Android in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, or a shared cross-platform core when it earns its keep. Built to handle the real spread of devices, not just the demo phone.

Stack · Kotlin · Compose Ships to · Google Play · internal tracks
03

The backend behind the app

The parts an app needs to be real: APIs, authentication, data sync, dashboards, and integrations. We build the backend and any web surfaces alongside the app, as one system — not a separate project.

Stack · APIs · cloud · web Covers · backend · admin · integrations
04

Maintenance & growth

Most studios disappear at launch. We stay: OS updates, crash triage, performance work, and the steady stream of features that turn a v1 into something people keep on their home screen.

Apps

What we're building

[ 02 / APPS ]

Our own iOS and Android apps live here. The first one has shipped — BootForge is on Google Play — and more are in the workshop behind it, each one native, private by default, and built to keep.

Process

How we work

[ 03 / METHOD ]
STEP 01

Scope, honestly

Every app starts by pulling the idea apart — what's the smallest version that proves it works, and what's genuinely hard. A real plan before a line of code, not a wishlist.

STEP 02

Build on real devices

Short cycles, working builds on real hardware early via TestFlight and Play tracks — tested across the actual spread of phones, not just the one on the desk.

STEP 03

Ship to the store

We handle the unglamorous part — review submissions, signing, store listings, release management — so launch day is boring in the way you want it to be.

STEP 04

Stay on

After launch we keep the app current and the roadmap moving. The same person who built it is the one improving it. Continuity is the whole point.

Principles

What we won't compromise

[ 04 / ETHOS ]

A byte is the smallest unit of the thing we make. Most software treats your bytes — your data, your time, your attention — as something to harvest. We'd rather look after them.

01

Craft over volume

We ship fewer things, fully finished. A rough edge left in is a decision, never an accident.

02

Respect the user

No ads, no nags, no dark patterns. Private by default. The device is theirs — we're a guest in it.

03

Honest work

We say what's done, what isn't, and what it costs — to users and clients alike.

04

Durable, not trendy

Clean foundations and restraint with fads. We build things meant to age well, not just to demo.

05

Independent & direct

A studio you can actually talk to a human at. The person who builds it is the one you reach.

Built to keep.

Questions

Straight answers

[ 05 / FAQ ]
What kind of apps do you build?

Native iOS and Android apps — utilities and tools built to do a real job well. Each one is private by default, works offline where it can, and is made to keep rather than to chase a trend.

If there are no ads, how do the apps make money?

Honestly — and never by selling your data or your attention. There are no ads and no tracking, full stop. Where an app is paid, it's a straightforward price on the store, and in return you get software that keeps working for you.

Do you take on client or contract work?

Our focus is our own apps, so we're not a general dev shop. If you're building something that's genuinely a fit for how we work, say hello — but no promises, and no sales pipeline.

iOS, Android, or both?

Depends on the app. We build native for each platform rather than cutting cross-platform corners where they'd cost quality, and each app ships where it makes sense — sometimes one platform first, then the other.

Will the apps keep getting updates?

That's the whole point. We stay on after release — OS updates, fixes, performance work, and the steady stream of features that turn a v1 into something worth keeping on your home screen. Same people, start to finish.
